A Rewarding Summer!

This summer, 53 students were trained at our CYIA® training camp. Of this number, 11 students were from the Northwest Chapter. Students came from across Wyoming & Utah. These students spent one full week together, as they received 30 hours of classroom instruction, learned how to share their faith, and engaged in practicums in order to effectively teach and engage children with the Gospel. They worshiped and prayed together, attended chapels, and had times of fun and fellowship. They were also challenged and encouraged in their faith by a great team of instructors and staff. New friendships were made, existing friendships strengthened, and lives were impacted during this week.

After a year full of challenges, God allowed things to return to normal for our annual Christian Youth in ActionⓇ(CYIAⓇ) training. We were able to return to our usual location in LaGrange, Wyoming. We had 53 students attending, including the Southeast and Utah chapters, who could not participate last year due to COVID-19. The Northwest Chapter grew to include eleven summer missionaries! Students who participated in the Teaching Children Effectively (TCE™) previously were able to help with classes and assist the other students.

They all had the opportunity to put their training into action as they began to teach 5-Day clubs. The first club alone had 74 children! We had the chance to bring the Gospel to 245 children, with some deciding to put their faith in Christ for the first time! Our team planted the seeds of God’s Word, and He was faithful to bring the increase. Our team of students helped believing children grow in their faith and unbelieving children to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Our CYIA students taught 5-Day clubs in Powell, Cody, Cowley, Pavilion, Lander, Riverton, & Greybull this summer. We had a full summer doing 2-3 clubs per day. Unfortunately, our schedule was so packed we had to turn some clubs down. Our students also had the chance to serve as counselors at Camp Good News on Casper Mountain. We had 80 kids this year at camp and had over ten kids put their faith in Christ.

We are so grateful for all of your prayers and financial support! The ministry of CYIA and reaching kids with the Gospel this summer was possible because of your generosity.
