Dispite the challenges of COVID-19, CYIA was a success!
"...You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8
An Interesting, But Rewarding Summer!
This summer has been unique to say the least. We are very thankful that we were able to have our annual Christian Youth In Action® (CYIA®) training. We were not allowed to use our usual training location due to COVID-19. However, a church in Casper allowed us to use their facility for our training. We had 42 students attend this year’s training. This year we also did 2 tracks of training. We had our CYIA track and we added a Teaching Children Effectively (TCE™) Level 1 training.
TCE™ Level 1 is designed to offer a fresh approach to evangelizing and teaching children. Based on spiritual and educational principles, the TCE 1 course provides the methods and procedures to lead children to Christ and immediately equips believers to begin and sustain a ministry where they live. TCE is an extensive course of the Children’s Ministries Institute in Warrenton, MO. Students earn a diploma for completing this program. Academic credit is available through various colleges. Students can also earn five Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in professional education or in Bible for completing this course.
Our intent is to train our student leaders to become teachers in our CYIA program and be an asset to their communities and local churches. We had 17 students attend this course. They all successfully completed the training and are now actively working to complete their practicum requirements this summer to receive their diploma.
Thank you to all of you who gave towards the CYIA and TCE trainings. Your financial gifts allowed students to attend the training and have the required materials they needed.
