What is CYIA?

Christian Youth in Action (CYIA) is a short-term, summer ministry dedicated to the training and development of committed Christians (ages 13 through college) who want to reach children for Christ. By completing the training program, students are trained and equipped by Child Evangelism Fellowship to teach and effectively minister to children in their communities and churches. Students will also be able to share the Gospel with their peers, relatives, neighbors, and all individuals.

What is involved at CYIA Training?

You will receive individual and group instruction from some of the most exciting, enthusiastic, and godly leaders at Child Evangelism Fellowship, WY. These instructors will train and equip you to teach and counsel boys and girls to receive Christ and lead a dynamic children's ministry program called 5-Day Clubs. You will complete several practicums which will be evaluated by your Local Director or another staff member. You and your local team will also practice presenting your part of the 5-Day Club in front of your Local Director to receive guidance and encouragement.

What is the focus of CYIA Training?

Your training will be focused on preparing you to teach 5-Day Clubs ®. These are neighborhood Bible clubs for children held in various locations such as community centers, churches, and backyards for one hour a day for five consecutive days during the summer. Our summer missionaries teach exciting Bible lessons and true missionary stories. These clubs also include: singing, memorizing verses, games, and more fun ways to share the Gospel.
